Hello random citizens!
So here's my first journal entry after joining deviantArt for two years. I've neglected this baby and decided to finally start using this journal because I have more time in the summer holidays. Watch this space, it will grow!
Some random facts about me...
I'm an artist who spent most of my life in China and have been drawing ever since I was able to hold a pen. I moved to London recently to study at uni, doing my best to learn the plummy British accent XD. Living in two drastically different cultures is a lot of fun and very artistically stimulating! My work ranges from manga to photography, oil painting, graphic design to fashion.
Apart from art, I have a REALLY wide range of bizarre interests .e.g. collecting sounds, studying the nightsky, Gothic Lolita fashion, aromatherapy, criminology, dancing to triphop etc etc...I'm hugely inspired by geek stuff - I love manga/anime/games and I do cosplay occasionally. I'm also an emotional eater / aspiring food pornographer =^^= I have a massive sweet tooth, if you want to win my heart bring me chocolate and we'll talk
I don't believe in Chinese Zodiac but occasionally I read them for a laugh, bizarrely I do fit the stereotypes of Rooster - I'm very passionate, expressive and often feel lonely easily but this loneliness enables me to dream, to create art and to immerse myself in wonderful things which distracts me from this world. Usually but my language skills becomes significantly worse when I start drawing - I get carried away with it easily and have a tendency to forget the world around me>.<
I update my tumblr blog (spiderlilystudio.tumblr.com/) more often with sketches and photos. Would really appreciate any feedbacks/suggestions for my art. I also have a Soundcloud account(soundcloud.com/spiderlily-studio) if you're interested. I'm a singer that write my own music - I play the synthesiser, the piano, the ukulele and recently started teaching myself guitar and drums. Being a multi-instrumentalist, I suffer from severe IAS(Instrument Acquisition Syndrome).
I'm very keen to hear from writers/artists/photographers/musicians/cosplayers who like to work collaboratively! It'd be extra awesome if you are within in reach of London!
Peace And Potatoes,
